4 passengers of the crashed bus are in the resuscitation department: “Erebuni” MC

This morning, 14 people were taken to Erebuni Medical Center due to a major traffic accident on the Mkhchyan-Byuravan highway in the Ararat region. The MC has issued a statement which reads:

“Four of the injured are in the resuscitation department, doctors assess their condition as serious, and the others were hospitalized in various departments of the center, including traumatology, surgery, neurosurgery for diagnosis and further medical care. Their condition is assessed as moderate.”

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed that on 2 September, at 08:23, the Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center received an alarm that an “accident” had taken place on the Mkhchyan-Byuravan highway. There are injured.

A fire brigade from the fire-rescue detachment of the regional rescue department of the Emergency Situations Ministry left for the scene.

It turned out that the “FAV” brand bus (driver: S.G., born in 1959) serving the Getazat-Yerevan route came out of the road and collided with a tree.

As a result of the accident, 16 victims were hospitalized in Artashat Medical Center, 14 in Yerevan Erebuni Medical Center, and 1 in Masis Medical Center.

The rescuers cut off the power of the bus, closed the gas cylinder valve, and then took out 2 blocked passengers from the bus.
