Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin visited a number of border checkpoints in Yeraskh settlement of Ararat region. The Russian Embassy in Armenia informed.
The ambassador met with the Armenian-Russian border guards of the Ararat frontier detachment of the border department of the Russian Federal Security Service in Armenia.
He laid flowers at the bust of border guard A.P. Koryakov, who, while on duty, was killed in a battle with saboteurs who had infiltrated from Turkey in 1948.
