As we have already informed  the “Civil Contract” faction has nominated Heriknaz Tigranyan as a candidate for the chairman of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs of the National Assembly of the 8th convocation.

At the end of her final speech, she referred to the part of Artsvik Mianasyan’s speech in which he said, “When the journalists came in, they told me, ‘You, and all those who consider themselves beneficiaries, forgot to say from this rostrum that today is George Soros’s birthday.’”

Heriknaz Tigranyan said ․ “I will never be ashamed to say that, yes, I have been in the NGO, my activity has been in the sphere of civil society for 15 years, and for 10 years in the state system. And there was a period in my activity when I was included in the “Open Society Foundations-Armenia Justice Group”, which was formed from lawyers, advocates, and heads of non-governmental organizations to give suggestions and opinions on published legislative initiatives. And if you consider it so reprehensible to work in those foundations or to be funded by the Soros Foundation, I must say that one of the members of the advocates’ team of your political leader was or maybe is still working in the same justice group, please note that I am not there for three years already.”

She mentioned that she did not see anything reprehensible in this.
