Today, on 5 August, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan announced that the temporary council had approved the resignation of YSU acting director Gegham Gevorgyan. He mentioned that the temporary council approved Hovhannes Hovhannisyan’s candidacy for the post of YSU acting rector.

Hovhannes Hovhannisyan was elected a deputy of the National Assembly on 9 December, 2018 by the national electoral list of “My Step” Alliance of parties, and in 2018-2019, he was the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
