German Chancellor Angela Merkel sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The message, in particular, reads:

“Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

I cordially congratulate you on your reappointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. You are taking on your new mandate amid great challenges and uncertainty. COVID-19 requires unprecedented measures from all of us.

Germany is ready to accompany the Republic of Armenia, as a reliable partner, on its path of reforms. The Federal Government will also continue to actively support efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.

I wish you new success accompanied by happiness during the implementation of your responsible work.”
