On the night of 1 August, at around 1:00 am, several masked men broke into the house of Arman Antonyan, a member of the “My Step” faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, with batons and knives, severely beat and stabbed him.
The secretary of “My Step” faction Armen Galjyan reported.
“Antonyan’s condition is assessed as extremely serious, a criminal case has been initiated.
According to the preliminary assessment, what happened may be related to the activities of Arman Antonyan in the Council of Elders, I do not want to give other details at this moment, so as not to hinder the preliminary investigation. The “My Step” faction strongly condemns the incident,” he said.
