At the beginning of today’s government sitting, the acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the military-political situation, which remains tense. According to him, Azerbaijan’s provocative steps and superstitious aspirations create new threats for the region, Armenia and Artsakh.

“I continue to think that Azerbaijan intends to prevent the implementation of the trilateral statements of 9 November and 11 January, in particular, regarding the opening of regional communications and the unblocking of Armenia.

The Republic of Armenia considers the opening of regional communications a very important priority; we are ready to continue the work with the expectation of achieving concrete results. “We expect Azerbaijan to fulfill its obligation to return the captives, hostages and other detainees,” he said.

He noted that the violation of the RA border by Azerbaijan in the Sotk-Khoznavar section from 12 May is unacceptable.
