Famous Armenian duduk composer, People’s Artist of the USSR, member of the music academies of Armenia and Canada Jivan Gasparyan has died.

The grandson of the composer Jivan Gasparyan Jr. announced this on his Facebook page.

“Today the world has suffered an incredible loss. May he rest in peace,” he wrote.

According to Gasparyan, Jivan Gasparyan died at night.

“I am writing with great regret for my great loss. May God keep your soul in the bright sky,” he wrote.
