“Today, at 15:00, the end of the preliminary investigation on Armen Charchyan’s case will be announced. That is, the body conducting the proceedings decided to finish the case and send it to court.

We think that in such circumstances it becomes obvious that there is no other way to talk about the existence of grounds for detention to prevent the investigation (or it did not exist from the beginning), because according to the body conducting the proceedings, all necessary actions have been taken, especially all witnesses interrogated. Therefore, simple logic suggests that there is absolutely no basis for influencing the witnesses.

At least in the context of this issue, Armen Charchyan can no longer be in prison.”
