The Supreme Judicial Council has issued a statement saying:

“Today’s issue of” Zhoghovurd “daily published a news, as if the Chairperson of the Court of Cassation had summoned the representatives of the system, warned them not to be active in social networks, threatened, and so on.

We officially declare that no such gathering, meeting, discussion, warning or instruction has taken place in the judiciary. The news does not correspond to reality.

The norms defining the depoliticization of both judges and employees of the Judicial Department are clearly envisaged in Article 4 of the Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia and Article 3 of the Law on Public Service of the Republic of Armenia.”
