“On 22 June, at 11:00 am, a joint press conference of the leaders of the “Armenia” Alliance will be held at the central headquarters.”
It should be added that the Alliance formed by Robert Kocharyan, the “Armenian Revolutionary Federation” Party and the “Reborn Armenia” Party to participate in the extraordinary parliamentary elections received 21.4% of the vote.
After the elections, the “Armenia” Alliance made a statement.
The published results of the parliamentary elections are highly controversial and do not inspire confidence. This is stated in the statement of the “Armenia” Alliance.
“They are in extreme conflict with the various manifestations of public life that we have witnessed over the past eight months, with all the results of public opinion polls, including international, and finally, with common sense. The very crowded rallies of the opposition forces during the campaign, the apparently small number of people in power, the crisis of confidence in the country, indicated the existence of completely different public moods. The most serious reason for the lack of trust is the hundreds of alarms coming from different polling stations on the actual Election Day, which testify to the systematic, pre-planned falsification of the election results.
Taking into account the above-mentioned, the “Armenia” Alliance sets the task of a deep and substantiated investigation of the registered “alleged violations”, which we undertake immediately. As long as all the problematic issues have not received comprehensive explanations, the suspicions have not been dispelled, the “Armenia” Alliance will not accept the election results,” the statement reads.
