Adviser to the Prosecutor General Gor Abrahamyan informs,

“A quarrel took place today in the area near the 11/11 polling station in Azatashen village with the participation of several people, including the candidate of one of the political forces participating in the elections, and his proxy, during which a gas pistol was fired.

Based on the received alarm, the Police officers took appropriate measures, the weapon was confiscated. No one was injured in the shooting.

Based on the prepared materials, the RA Ararat Region Prosecutor’s Office has already instructed the Masis Department of the RA Investigative Committee to initiate a criminal case in accordance with Article 149.2, Part 2, Article 154.4, and to find out all the circumstances of the case within the framework of the preliminary investigation.”
