Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that the Armenian side duly analyzes the issues related to the inevitability of the Zangezur corridor. The Belarusian service “Interfax” informs.

“At the first stage after the war, Armenia protested this. However, I was recently informed that the Armenian side is already properly analyzing the issues related to the inevitability of this corridor. As you know, now discussions are being held in a trilateral format. This issue is being discussed within the framework of the working groups at the level of deputy prime ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia, and there are good results,”Aliyev said on Sunday, receiving a delegation led by Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoglu.

The head of state noted that the Zangezur corridor plays an important role in further strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the field of transport.

“The “Zangezur Corridor” will provide a new connection between Turkey and Azerbaijan. We have already begun construction of a railway from Horadiz to the border with Armenia on the “liberated lands”. I am sure that in the next two years, maybe two and a half years, this railway will work at full capacity.” Aliyev said.
