On 24 May, Acting Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan had a telephone conversation with the Secretary of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Minister of Defense of Tajikistan, Colonel-General Sherali Mirzo.

Vagharshak Harutyunyan presented the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border to Sherali Mirzo. The parties discussed possible ways to resolve the issue.
The heads of the defense ministries of the two countries also touched upon a number of issues related to the deepening of the Armenian-Tajik cooperation in the defense sphere.
