Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision on 24 May, according to which an interdepartmental commission dealing with the issues of the elderly has been established.

The decision specifically states:

Pursuant to Article 7, Part 16 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the Structure and Activities of the Government”, based on Article 37, Part 1 of the RA Law on Normative Legal Acts:

1. To establish an interdepartmental commission dealing with the issues of the elderly (hereinafter referred to as the interdepartmental commission).
2. To confirm:

1) The individual staff of the interdepartmental commission, in accordance with Annex 1;

2) The procedure of the interdepartmental commission in accordance with Annex 2.

3. Define that:

1) The organizational and technical support of the work activities of the interdepartmental commission is carried out by the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs;

2) The interdepartmental commission submits information on the work done during the year to the staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia after the end of each year until 20 February of the following year.

4. To declare invalid the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia N 20-A of 17 January, 2013 “On the establishment of an interdepartmental commission, on approving the work procedure of the commission and the individual staff”.
