On 24 May, the Second President of Armenia, leader of the “Armenia” bloc Robert Kocharyan met with the active of the block in Armavir region.

“A wide range of issues was touched upon. As a region mainly engaged in agriculture, some of the questions referred to the prospects of the sphere. Robert Kocharyan said how he envisions the solution of agricultural problems: the volume of agricultural subsidies should increase significantly, the tariff for irrigation water should become symbolic, and the villager should not have a problem with the consumption of fertilizers, irrigation water, especially the problem of product consumption.

Reference was made to the increase of the army’s combat effectiveness, the security of Armenia and Artsakh, the captives, the educational policy and other issues.

“The president stated that it is possible to bring Armenia back to the path of development; in general, everything will be fine,” the statement reads.
