The Ministry of Justice has issued a statement stating։․

“Dear compatriots,

The law “On announcing amnesty for persons who have evaded regular military or alternative service” has entered into force today. It should be reminded that the amnesty is applicable to those privates and who, as of today, have reached the age of 27 and reserve officers over the age of 35 who have avoided compulsory military or alternative service and are suspected, accused or convicted in committing a crime defined under Article 327, Part 1 or 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia “Evasion from regular military conscription and/or alternative military service” (only if the act provided for in Part 1 of the same Article was committed during martial law).

In order to make the application of the amnesty law more vivid, more predictable for our compatriots, the ministry presented some practical explanations, which are available in Armenian language here.
