Gegharkunik Regional Administration has issued a statement, which reads:

“The news of the enemy’s advance in Gegharkunik region does not correspond to reality.

On 12 May, various media outlets reported that the enemy had taken up positions in some parts of the Vardenis region.

We inform you that the mentioned information does not correspond to the reality.

The adversary is currently working on the areas under its control under the 9 November, 2020 statement, where it had not been able to position itself for months due to weather conditions. The suspicious parts that appeared during the positioning of the enemy are being corrected by the representatives of the RA Armed Forces.

We assure that the situation is fully controlled by the RA Armed Forces.

We urge not to panic, to follow only the official information.”
