Dear compatriots, dear residents of Gegharkunik region! The information that the Azerbaijani armed forces have advanced in the section of Shorzha settlement of the Vardenis region also worried me a lot. I was making adjustments. National Assembly deputy Taguhi Tovmasyan wrote about this on her Facebook page.
“I also talked to the commander of our army corps a while ago. I want to convey his words that the Azerbaijani armed forces did not encroach on the state border of Armenia in the Gegharkunik region, did not show any aggression along our region.
And what happened? After the signing of the infamous document on 9-10 November, when Karvachar was handed over, the Azerbaijani armed forces were positioned in those areas where possible due to heavy snow. Now the snow has melted, they are emerging in the areas under their control, they are positioned more in the areas close to us. The general especially stressed that they have not come and cannot come even one millimeter before the RA state border. In a word, there is nothing to worry about in Gegharkunik region yet. I believe the words of the commander, because during the 44-day war, that army corps fought heroically, did not retreat for even an inch, on the contrary, we gained positional advantages during the war. We handed over Karvachar and the surrounding areas without a single bullet, with deep sorrow.
As for the current situation and the equipment within the borders of the Republic of Armenia, I must mention that all the concerns voiced in my question to the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia these days remain relevant. Although no official demarcation or delimitation has been carried out yet, the necessary work is not being done on the current front line and the invisible cases reported to Nikol Pashinyan will rather made visible to me and the residents of other border areas. And to show that work is being done under the guise of secrecy is not honorable at all. There are many other things to keep secret, which, by the way, I are not kept,” she wrote.
