“By organizing elections, the authorities are not doing anyone any favors. The government is the number one responsible for the political crisis; the government must take steps to resolve the crisis. We supported that, so that there would be elections,” Edmon Marukyan, a member of the “Bright Armenia” parliamentary faction said, during a briefing with journalists today, on 3 May.
According to the deputy, if something is agreed with the people, they promise, they should dissolve the parliament.
“If we disrupt this process in any way, it will mean that we do not want our people to decide who will get Armenia out of this situation,” the MP said.
Marukyan said that according to the Constitution, there is no other way to dissolve the parliament. Referring to the electoral list, he said that they have not been compiled yet.
“As a result of 3 years of rule, this government has brought a motto into circulation, which is about the following: there is a future. This question has never arisen in Armenia, is there a future or not? Now you have to convince the person to say, there is a future, there is a future, so that he would believe. This government summarizes the period of its activity with this motto. The future has become questionable,” the MP said.
