The National Assembly is discussing the issue of electing the Prime Minister today. The special session started at 12.00.
It should be reminded that according to the agreement, the ruling “My Step” faction nominated Nikol Pashinyan, and the opposition factions did not nominate a candidacy.
On 25 April, Citizen’s Day, Nikol Pashinyan resigned. After his resignation, the parliament will not elect a prime minister twice. Then the National Assembly will be considered dissolved, special parliamentary elections will be held. Elections in the country are scheduled for 20 June.
