The Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan said this after the talk with the journalists.

“As part of Public Week, we want to show by our own example that vaccines are a powerful, preventative measure that should help us overcome Covid-19 disease and eventually return to normal life,” she said.

Anahit Avanesyan also thanked Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan for agreeing to be vaccinated in publicly.

“I think the vaccination process is one of the most important processes this year. The rate of vaccination will significantly affect the internal regulations in different countries, tourism, relations with other countries and the economic situation. Our policy should definitely be to persuade and encourage as many people as possible to participate in the vaccination process against Covid-19,” Tigran Avinyan said.

The Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that they had been vaccinated with AstraZeneca vaccine. They should receive the next dose in 2 months. Avinyan mentioned that the vaccine is available in all polyclinics for people over 18 years old.

According to him, various manipulative information is spread about vaccines. “We have specially chosen AstraZeneca, because most of the time, false rumors are spread about this vaccine. “As far as I know, out of about 200 million cases, there were only a few dozen unsuccessful cases,” Tigran Avinyan said.
