On 24 April, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergey Shoygu.

The Defense Ministers of the two countries discussed the peacekeeping mission of the Russian contingent stationed in Artsakh, the main directions of large-scale reforms launched in the RA Armed Forces, as well as the joint actions and forthcoming programs of the Armenian-Russian joint contingent. Regional issues were also touched upon.
