On 23 April, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan signed an order, according to which free vaccinations against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) of foreign citizens will be carried out in the Republic of Armenia. The order specifically states:
“Pursuant to Article 20.11 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Ensuring the Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety of the Population of the Republic of Armenia”, as well as considering the fact that the prevention of coronavirus disease as a disease posing a threat to the environment is of great importance for the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the Republic:
I ORDER:
- According to the order No. 21-N of the Minister of Health of 17 August, 2020, to provide free medical vaccinations against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Armenia,.
- to Lilit Babakhanyan, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Health, to place the order on the official website of the Ministry of Health.
- This Order shall enter into force on the day following its publication.
- To assign the control over the implementation of this order to the First Deputy Minister of Health L. Nanushyan and the Deputy Minister of Health A. Smbatyan.”
