Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan gave an interview to the Russian “Interfax” news agency and spoke about the Armenian-Turkish relations.
“I would like to remind that the Armenian-Turkish border was unilaterally closed by Turkey in 1993. Armenia has always advocated normalization of relations with Turkey without preconditions, but it was rejected by Turkey. Such hostile policy of Ankara gained new strength during Azerbaijan’s 44-day aggression against Artsakh. In particular, Turkey provided direct military-political and military-technical assistance to Azerbaijan by transferring foreign armed terrorists to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. In this context, in order to establish lasting peace in the region and restore the economic image, Turkey needs to change this aggressive policy towards Armenia,” he said.
