From 3 September to 31 December, 2020, the Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin of t the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia received materials on 201 criminal cases involving 430 persons belonging to property of possible illicit origin. As a result of the examination of the grounds for initiating a study with the mentioned materials, 214 decisions to start n examination were made, and in the case of 216 persons, 83 decisions not to initiate an examination were made.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

Decisions not to initiate an investigation were made due to the lack of data on the existence of property of illicit origin exceeding 50,000,000 AMD, as provided by law, as well as on other grounds.
