On 17 March, President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan visited Dahrav, Astghashen and Patara communities of Askeran region, got acquainted with the construction works carried out on the spot, and met with the population.

In order to solve the housing problems of the citizens left homeless due to the recent war, 14 out of 28 private houses in Dahrav and 34 out of 50 in Patara, which are mostly inhabited, are ready within the framework of the program for repairing and furnishing the free housing stock of the communities of the Republic. Arayik Harutyunyan personally got acquainted with the quality of the work done, talked to the settlers, inquired about their concerns.
In Patara, the head of state stressed that the road connecting the village with the highway will be asphalted this year, and the problem of night lighting in the community will be solved. The Minister of Urban Development was instructed to draw up a plan for the reconstruction of the village kindergarten.
During the visit, the President of Artsakh also visited the construction site of a new residence for the displaced residents of the villages of the upper sub-region of Askeran region in the administrative territory of Astghashen community with state charitable means, got acquainted with the progress of the work.
