What are the Open Government Partnership Commitments?

The Open Government Partnership initiative seeks achieve improved governance based on active involvement of civil society, as well as enhance public management efficiency through increased level of transparency, mutual trust and accountability in State-citizen relationship. The Republic of Armenia joined the initiative in 2011.

Armenia presented its first action plan in 2012. So far 4 action plans have already been drawn up and completed. It is planned to develop the 5th action plan in the coming year, and before that we will touch upon the question of what the OGP commitments are.

There are 17 Sustainable Development Goals that are envisaged in the document “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, which the UN adopted in 2015.

Each goal has its targets and indicators. They are available on the official website of the UN in Armenia .

It should be noted that the publication has been prepared within the framework of the “Co-creation Support for the 2020-2022 OGP National Action Plan” project implemented by a consortium of 3 Non-Governmental Organizations “Armavir Development Center”, “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” and “Freedom of Information Center” with the support of the “OGP” Support Unit.
