RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan reports:
“Isn’t the President of Azerbaijan the Commander-in-Chief of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on the roads uniting the communities of the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia (RA) and those in the immediate vicinity of the villages in the province? Well, these Armed forces are discharging their weapons and engaged in shootings while in close proximity to the villages of Syunik.
It is the President of Azerbaijan who is stating that their “strategic and political goal is to return to Zangezur, Yerevan and Lake Sevan” and speaks with insults and hatred about the entire population of Armenia and Artsakh, isn’t it him? In the video/segment of my presentation attached to this statement, I have quoted only a part of these utterances: “jackals,” “wild monsters,” and “without a brain.”
Azerbaijani servicemen make use of the same utterances and words when torturing and killing Armenian servicemen and civilians (see the evidence in the attached video).
All of this provides further basis that, in order to guarantee the rights of the residents of Syunik region, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces must neither be on the nearby roads nor in the immediate vicinity of the villages.”
