The RA Minister of Health visited Syunik. The RA Ministry of Health informs.

“The RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan is in Syunik on a study visit. On 6 March, she together with the First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan and Deputy Artyom Smbatyan met with Governor Melikset Poghosyan, Deputy Governor Narek Babayan, and Head of the Health and Social Security Department of the regional administration Nune Gevorgyan.

A number of issues related to the work of the healthcare system of the region were discussed during the meeting. Melikset Poghosyan presented to the Minister the existing problems and proposals related to their solution. These, in particular, referred to the lack of narrow specialists in the health care institutions of the region, especially in the outpatient clinics of rural areas or the lack of vehicles, the expansion of medical care opportunities for the socially vulnerable, and so on.

Anahit Avetisyan also visited Kapan and Goris medical centers. Meeting with the management and staff of the MCs, the Minister of Health and the Deputy Ministers toured the departments, got acquainted with their work, conditions, equipment and technical saturation, the quality of services, as well as discussed the problems of the MCs,” the statement reads.
