The Ministry of Health of Armenia has approved the use of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against coronavirus.

“Armenpress”  reports that this information was confirmed by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

On 21 November, 2020, the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko and the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova visited the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Yerevan to attend the opening ceremony of a mobile laboratory. They also brought with them examples of COVID-19 Sputnik V vaccine. Fifteen people were vaccinated with the Russian vaccine. At a press conference in early January, Gayane Sahakyan, Deputy Director General of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Head of the National Immunization Program, who was also among those vaccinated, said that Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine patients in Armenia had no complications.
