An extraordinary sitting is being held in the National Assembly today, on 28 December. The issue of electing a member of the Audit Chamber is being discussed.
The NA President Ararat Mirzoyan mentioned that the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs had nominated Karen Arustamyan for the position of the member of the Audit Chamber to the National Assembly.
Artak Manukyan presented the biography of the candidate.
Independent NA deputy Arman Babajanyan mentioned that he does not personally know the candidate: “What you are doing now with your faction is autocracy, patronage, corruption, I will have an opportunity to talk about that, in my speech I will clarify with what violation of the law you brought this candidate here again and want to push him to the Audit Chamber at any cost. This is simply inadmissible, I think you will still feel the consequences, you will know. I just do not know whether you will have the opportunity to bear that responsibility or not,” he said.
