The Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Artak Beglaryan wrote on his Facebook page:
“When I visited Yerablur last Sunday during three days of mourning, on my way back I visited Aghavno to find out on the spot what conditions the villagers live in and how I can be useful.
After talking to Mayor Andranik Chavushyan, I talked to his cheerful kids about their toys and their expectations of Santa Claus.
After that meeting, I was once again convinced that mourning and sacrifice should serve to life, and the main symbols of life are our innocent children.
- for whom life is not so much mourning and tears, but play and smiles;
- who, yes, should realize and value their losses, but need positive energy to ensure continuity of life;
- whose relatives and compatriots have died to give peace and smiles first and foremost to themselves;
- which must be developed mainly with positive energy in order to be able to build a better future when the time comes.
In other words, my dears, my request is that no one should think of depriving children of smiles in general and especially during the New Year holidays, our dead heroes definitely did not dream of that. And children often rejoice in opportunities that seem small to adults, not in “traditional” luxuries and joys.
