Today, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received the former mayor of Lyon, France, Dr. Georg Kepenekian, and the head of the “Mother-Child” program of the “Merieux” Foundation, Dr. Khalil Etou.

During the meeting, the Defender presented the atrocities of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, their brutality and torture of both servicemen and civilians in September-November.

According to the Defender, targeting the civilian population of Artsakh and using prohibited weapons against them, involvement of mercenary terrorists, Armenophobia and widespread atrocities and inhuman treatment, atrocities testify about Azerbaijan’s policy of ethnic cleansing in Artsakh, which continues to this day.

Arman Tatoyan underlined his conclusion that for years in Azerbaijan, the Armenofobia and the murder of Armenians were only encouraged, and those who committed them were awarded state awards. It is the result of all this that has led to gross human rights violations against Armenians in Artsakh by the Azerbaijani armed forces, including inhuman cruelty and atrocities. All this is reflected in the special report published by the Defender.

The participants of the meeting stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of protection of human rights and reached an agreement on cooperation.
