Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan wrote on his Facebook pag:

“Today, a process of exchanging prisoners took place through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers. 44 of our officially confirmed compatriots have moved to Armenia from Azerbaijan.

At this stage, the Armenian captives whose captivity has been confirmed by the Azerbaijan and the Red Cross are being returned. The process of finding our missing possibly captured other compatriots and organizing their return continues intensively.

Additional information about the returned captives will be provided later.”
