National Assembly deputy Aram Khachatryan wrote on his Facebook page:

“In 2018, the people took back the power that belonged to them according to the constitution, but was taken away. Now, those who once seized power by force, it is not only about these 17 parties, but also a group of people (clan) in whose hands all the power, are trying to take power from the people again. And without stopping at anything, preaching lies in the media field, discrediting even the minor child of the Prime Minister’s family, etc., they want to continue the looting and terror they have left unfinished.

But I must disappoint that group, their few supporters, who have their own interests, that it will not happen, because the only subject who will decide who should be in power is the people. And the overwhelming majority of the people stand by the Prime Minister.

We have to record 2 things. First, that our political team also stands firmly by the Prime Minister; second, that many have revealed their true faces (some still have time to think).

“Thanks to great efforts, we will finally overcome this difficult stage; we will have an economically strong country, a strong Armenian army.”

It should be reminded that on 8 December, Aram Khachatryan announced that he had submitted an application to resign from the parliamentary mandate in order to continue working in the executive.
