RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sees a tendency to form a puppet government or anarchy in Armenia among the political forces demanding his resignation. As reports “Armenpress”, Pashinyan said this during the question-answer session with the government in the National Assembly on 9 December, answering the question of the leader of “Bright Armenia” faction Edmon Marukyan.

Edmon Marukyan asked Pashinyan why he did not resign when all four presidents of the Republic of Armenia, the Catholicos of All Armenians, the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, opposition political forces, some intellectuals and cultural figures, and others. demanded his resignation.

“And why do you, including the parliamentary forces, not demand early parliamentary elections?” They constantly offer scenarios to exclude the people from the political process. They offer to create anarchy or puppet government in Armenia, because they offer a candidate for the post of Prime Minister who does not have the support of the people, has no support in the parliament, has no prospect of gaining the support of the people, because it stipulates that he should not run in snap elections. In that case, the power will belong to the forces that brought him. And during that year, all possible mechanisms of election fraud will be restored,” the Prime Minister said.

Pashinyan noted that those who demanded his resignation are the people who have been demanding his resignation since June 2018, and now is just a reason to voice that demand.
