The Red Cross Committee has been present in the region since the 1990s in connection with the Karabakh conflict. From the very first days of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan on 27 September, 2020, the Red Cross has certain functions to perform on the battlefield and beyond.
The Red Cross negotiates with the parties involved, Armenia and Azerbaijan, on the issues of detainees as well, if there is any information that the person or persons are in captivity, after receiving any confirmation, immediately applies for a visit.
