During a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan accepted his invitation to pay a working visit to Moscow in the near future. The RA MFA press service reported.

“The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and the Russian Federation managed to maintain the dynamism and intensity of the dialogue between the two countries, including mutual visits. Minister Ayvazyan accepted the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to pay a working visit to Moscow in the near future,” the RA MFA said.

It is noted that during the meeting the heads of departments exchanged views on a number of issues on the bilateral-regional agenda.

Notably, on 18 November, by the decree of Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, Ara Ayvazyan was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. On 16 November, Zohrab Mnatsakyan submitted a resignation application.
