Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan urged the people of Artsakh who are in Armenia not to participate in the political uprisings.
“Dear people of Artsakh, I advise you to stay away from those uprisings and political events. Do not participate in those processes in the streets of Yerevan, it is not appropriate for the people of Karabakh. All the Armenians have stood by us, at least in that sense, by our side, by your side. Being in Yerevan, they have done everything for you, they have suffered deprivations, they continue to suffer, and you have nothing to do with political intrigues. Calm down, sit quietly in your seats, all your problems will be solved.
I call to come back to Karabakh. All evacuated as organized or unorganized, we must all return to Karabakh. During these two days we will solve the problem of infrastructure, water, electricity, we will try gas as well. I want to assure you that we have all the resources so that there is no social problem. And what should the citizens who called on me, the people of Hadrut, do? Of course, we had to defend Hadrut first. We failed to do it.
Today, we promise that we will do everything so that there is no social problem. Today, we are ready to provide the minimum living conditions in Yerevan in the first stage, then in Artsakh, and later in a radical way. We do not have the final decision, what we are going to do, we do not have the final political map, but I want to guarantee and assure you, the roads will be safe, do not panic, do not move your property from Artsakh to Armenia, we will bring it back not by force but voluntarily, you will bring it back, you will be convinced that we will live better in Artsakh than anywhere else, because we are not expected much elsewhere, and not awaited for us in any country.
I have announced that if you have a problem, contact the operative headquarters formed by the representatives of the Artsakh government. They will answer any question, of course, not for a permanent housing problem, but for social and other problems. You should not give in to provocations. It is a provocation aimed to finally destroy our country. We need unity, we must fight together against the external enemy that continues to destroy our unity. I want to call on all of you to calm down and assure that Artsakh will remain Armenian.
