Ilham Aliyev tried to mislead the special envoy of the President of Iran with his false statements

In yesterdays’ meeting with Iranian President’s Special Envoy Abbas Araghchi in Baku, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, referring to the historical and cultural and religious heritage of Artsakh, deliberately made false statements, noting that cultural and religious monuments in Artsakh, particularly mosques, are in ruins.

As “Armenpress” reported, according to experts, it is not surprising that Azerbaijan, after twice deliberately shelling the Ghazanchetsots Church in Shushi, speaks about the protection of historical and cultural heritage.

It is worth to remind the Azeri leader that unlike the Baku authorities, by whose decision the 19th century mosques in the center of Baku was demolished in 2017, the Shushi mosque was completely rebuilt and renovated in 2019 by the direct efforts of the Artsakh authorities.
