At the age of 6 I was injured by an explosion of an Azerbaijani mine and I lost my sight: Artak Beglaryan about the humanitarian catastrophe

We are facing a humanitarian catastrophe. The ombudsman of Artsakh Republic Artak Beglaryan informed about this during the press conference.

According to him, there are thousands, if not tens of thousands of explosives in Stepanakert and other settlements, which could endanger the lives and health of the civilian population, especially children, for years.

“I would like to attach special importance to this, because at the age of 6 I was injured by an explosion of an Azerbaijani mine and lost my sight. Hundreds of children like me have lost their lives or their health. Not only children, but there have been many cases among them,” he says.

According to Beglaryan, the Azerbaijani armed forces deliberately use similar weapons in densely populated areas to create a humanitarian catastrophe for the civilian population.

“In this respect, there must be a proper response and punishment. The international community has a lot to do,” he said.

The Defender stated that according to the preliminary analysis, the Ghazanchetsots Cathedral in Shushi was targeted with a rocket, and an UAV, or both with an UAV, which shows that the action was intentional.
