As part of the fact-finding mission of the Human Rights Defender of the Artsakh Republic, it was found out that at least 5 civilians of Artsakh were killed by the Azerbaijani armed forces after the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement on 10 October at 12:00.
In particular, on the afternoon of 10 October, members of a subversive group that invaded the city of Hadrut shot dead at least four civilians, Misha Movsisyan with disabilities, his mother Anahit Movsisyan, Nver Grigoryan and Artyom Mirzoyan. There are preliminary data that there are other victims among the civilians in Hadrut. The circumstances are still being clarified.
During the last night of the day, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired rockets at residential areas of Stepanakert, Martuni, Shushi and other settlements. As a result, 75-year-old Pargev Saghyan was killed under the rubble of his house in the town of Martuni, and a 65-year-old woman was wounded in the village of Shosh.
As a result of the Azerbaijani missile targets, houses and infrastructure in different settlements were significantly damaged. During a visit to the site of one of the damaged houses in Stepanakert, the Defender found the remains of a Smerch cluster missile banned by international humanitarian law, which is regularly and widely used by Azerbaijan.
It should be reminded that yesterday the Human Rights Defender of the Artsakh Republic published the second interim report on the atrocities committed by Azerbaijan against the population of Artsakh. The report presented a detailed study and analysis of the consequences of the criminal attacks on the civilian population of Artsakh by the Azerbaijani armed forces from 27 September to 9 October, 2020.
As of 9 October, a total of 20 civilians had been killed, including 1 little girl, 7 women and 12 men.
