A 2.8 magnitude earthquake was registered 17 km north-east of Ashotsk village: MES

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs.

“On 5 October, at 23:10 local time (19:10 Greenwich Mean Time), the seismological network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia registered an earthquake with geographical coordinates of latitude 41.16⁰ east longitude 44.07⁰ Georgia border zone, 17 km north-east of Ashotsk village, Shirak region, 10 km deep, 2.8 magnitude.

The earthquake in the epicenter was 3-4 magnitude.

The earthquake was felt in Dzyunashogh, Metsavan-Paghaghbyur villages of Lori region with a magnitude of 2-3 degrees.
