I myself witnessed the rocket attack very close to the Stepanakert hospital, so close that the hospital just shuddered: Arsen Torosyan

Stepanakert was completely under bombardment, so there was no difference in terms of missile targets. They targeted both military facilities and civilian infrastructure. The whole medical community of Artsakh, and those arrived from Armenia, is sometimes deprived of providing assistance to people in need, because Stepanakert or other cities are under bombardment and even ambulances are unable to reach the citizens who need it.

The RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan said this today, on 6 October, at the Goris headquarters of the Armenian Unified Infocenter.

“I myself witnessed the rocket attack very close to the Stepanakert hospital, so close that the hospital just shuddered, the missile strike, which, in all probability, could have hit the hospital itself. Seeing the intentions of the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan, our medical staff has the impression that a direct blow to the medical infrastructure is not ruled out, which can be considered a war crime against the civilian population,” Arsen Torosyan said.

He said that despite all this, the whole medical community stands by the citizens. “We will fight to the end, we will win,” the Minister of Health said.

Answering the journalists’ questions, Torosyan mentioned that the vast majority of the injuries received during this war are mine explosives. “This war is, in fact, a war with air or artillery or UAVs. There are many fragments in the bodies, which cause serious injury or death,” he said.
