Within the framework of the events dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, the main prize of the “Hero of Our Time” award ceremony held in Zvartnots Cathedral was awarded to the founder of “Markos Toys” Company Sevak Markosyan, who was awarded by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“It is obvious that a very important event has appeared in the calendar of the year, in the form of the “Hero of Our Time” award ceremony. Now I am sure that we will all look forward to this day every year to glorify the heroes of our time. Today’s event began by emphasizing that the real heroes of this year are our soldiers and doctors. It is very symbolic that this year, at my suggestion, by the decrees of the President of the Republic, Captain of the Armed Forces Ruben Sanamyan and Honored Doctor Hrayr Hovakimyan were awarded the title of “National Hero of the Republic of Armenia”. And with that, the tip of this year really came to an end. “We glorify the heroes of our time, we glorify the creative potential of a person, a citizen,” Nikol Pashinyan said. The RA Prime Minister noted that many heroes of the award ceremony deserve the main prize, but today the founder of “Markos Toys” Company Sevak Markosyan receives it. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the heroes thank the government for receiving their award. In fact, the government is grateful to these people, because by their actions they prove that what is being said is possible.

“We are talking about the turning point of individual effort. We talk about the fact that each person can create his environment, well-being. Of course, the role of the government is a key here; the government must be able to encourage the heroes of our time. Everyone deserves the grand prize, but we wondered what the winner should be. I think that feature is the following: our Hero has shown amazing resilience in changing his life. He decided to go with creative happiness and decided to create toys for children. “Toys that will teach them to build, and  create,” the Prime Minister added.
