Taron Simonyan, MP of the NA “Bright Armenia” faction, said today, on 14 September, during the NA sitting, that the faction will not take part in the voting for the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court.

It should be reminded that the Prosperous Armenia faction had also informed about that earlier.

“The illegal process that took place in this hall in the context of the change of the constitution continues.” This election is also the result of this illegal process. Therefore, no matter how much I want to vote especially for my lecturer, the other candidates, I do not have the opportunity to do so, because as the truth is more important, so the Constitution is a greater value for the citizen of Armenia than other values ​​in the legal field. There is a public perception that the current government team is not very professional in governance or any other field. “I want to say no, the current team of the government is very professional, especially in the field of creating problems where it does not exist and bravely overcoming those problems,” Simonyan said in his speech.

Notably the election of the judges of the Constitutional Court is scheduled for 15 September.
