Today, on 8 September, the European Union, the WHO handed over to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia 100 oxygen concentrators, 20 electrocardiographs and 10,000 PCR test for the diagnosis of COVID-19.
Angela Kzhdryan, Risk Communication Consultant of the World Health Organization reported.
Oxygen concentrators delivered to Armenia within the framework of the EU-World Health Organization-Ministry of Health cooperation are a non-invasive way to provide oxygen to patients hospitalized with COVID-19. Such extra oxygen is the first necessary step in the treatment of patients with low blood oxygen levels in the severe course of COVID-19.
An electrocardiograph helps medical professionals listen to the patient’s heart to prevent complications.
The 10,000 tests will ensure the timely detection, isolation and management of patients, which can be used to both care for patients and prevent an epidemic in the country.”
