On 3 September, the government made a decision to donate 21 off-road ambulances purchased within the framework of the RA state budget, which were also equipped with the necessary medical equipment and items purchased within the framework of the state budget and donated to medical organizations operating in the regions.

Anahit Avanesyan, the First Deputy Minister of Health, presented the issue to the members of the executive.

In the justification of the decision it is mentioned that considering the balanced development of the ambulance service in the regions of Armenia, taking into account the epidemic situation conditioned by the spread of coronavirus disease in Armenia, the Ministry of Health considers the improvement of the material and technical base of the ambulance services in the regions. Ensuring access to an ambulance service providing emergency medical services to the population of remote rural areas with vehicles designed for emergency care in accordance with the terrain, off-road ambulance vehicles with high permeability.
