On 6 August, The RA President Armen Sarkissian signed a decree, which states:

“Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister, in accordance with Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as Article 35.1, Part 1, Article 36, Part 1, Clause 1 of the “Law on Military Service and Status of Servicemen” and Part 3 of Article 5 of the “Law on Military Police”,

To appoint Ashot ZAKARYAN Chief of Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.”
